Spain 2014
Welcome to Barcelona
Host families welcome their guests at Can Peixauet metro Station.
Sightseeing tour in Oslo
The sightseeing tour of the city of Barcelona started with visiting the impressive and fantastic expiatory church of Sagrada Familia which it was begun at the end of 1883 by Antoni Gaudi and it is unfinished. Later on the Spanish students guided us through the city and each gave a short presentation on important sights so allowed us to know the architecture of the city that we really wanted to visit since we had been working on them in class, such as La Pedrera, La casa Batlló, the Music Palace, the Cathedral... and of course the Ramblas.
Bosc vertical
A high adventure in the trees. It was a very funny activity, the students had the opportunity to be a bird and they moved amongst tree branches between lianas, bridges, zip lines, nets, snowboards… it was a big adrenaline rush.
DalÃ's house & DalÃ's Museum
We visited the curios and amazing DalÃ's House which is located in Portlligat, and the DalÃ's Museum which is located in Figueres, where we learned about how Dalà playing with the senses in his works concealing the real work..
Institut Can Peixauet
Students make regular class with their partners, they made a presentation of the architect or architectural style of their country relating it to the science and they worked on a common art project. The art project was displayed in a social night at the school with host families.
The Social night allowed us to share with our partners Catalonian traditions like Castellers (human towers), Ball de bastons (stick dance) and Trabucaires (people who shoots a blunderbuss).
Students and teachers had the opportunity to learn about the Catalonian educational system and compare the differences between our schools: timetables, rules, student behaviour, cell phone ruling rules, class work....
